The star of the show here is undoubtedly the pizza. Offering classics like the Build Your Own pizzas—available in both 14" thin crust and 12" deep or stuffed crust—partake in the personalization by selecting any three pizza ingredients. The prices, starting at US$16.99 for thin crust and US$17.99 for deep or stuffed, provide excellent value for a satisfying meal.
Highlights from customer experiences reflect that the deep dish pizza, while sometimes compared to Detroit-style, packs a filling punch with its generous cheese and savory, slightly sweet sauce. Notable mentions also go to their calzones and Italian fries, which have earned acclaim for their taste and quality. One customer shared, “We eat their deep dish pies at least once or twice a month,” demonstrating the community's affection for this establishment.
While the food shines bright, the ambiance leaves room for improvement. Reviews mention a rather chilly dining area that could be more inviting. Yet, the attached bowling alley breathes life into the experience, making it a suitable spot for gatherings with friends or family after a few games.
In conclusion, Italian Pie Shoppe offers a compelling pizza experience with flavors that resonate with traditional Italian roots. Though the atmosphere might not appeal to all, the food speaks volumes, promising a hearty meal that will leave you planning your next visit. If you're ever in the area, give this place a try; you might just find your new favorite spot for pizza in New Hope!

The pizza is excellent - we love their thin crust pizza! We are always amazed though that there is NEVER anyone else in the dining room when we eat in. They do a lot of business that’s carried into the bowling alley but their dining room is empty. I can see why - it is a very uninviting room - for one thing it is always FREEZING in there - we kept our coats on the entire time we ate. It’s also very uncomfortable chairs. Make the dining room more inviting and I would guess you’d get a lot more business.

Friendly staff serving with a smile. Great vibe with the bowling alley attached. Though the restaurant is very outdated, it's expected at an old bowling alley. I got a medium deep dish pizza. VERY filling, though it seemed less a deep dish and more Detroit style. The crust was the downfall as it was not as soft and airy as I'd like. Great cheese and I had no issues with toppings. The sauce is on the sweeter side, but savory as well. Although the pizza maybe wasn't award-winning (and a bit pricey), I was fat and happy at the end of the day. I wouldn't go out of my way for this pizza, but I would definitely be excited to order from here if I ever decide to knock down some pins.

We eat their deep dish pies at least once or twice a month. We feel it's the closest thing to the old My Pie Pizza that we can find, the ingredients are fresh and they're very generous with the cheese

One of the BEST pizza places ever! When it comes to pizza I am kind of a conisoure. The sauce is great, the crust is awesome and they are very generous with cheese. For a special treat get the pizza fries! One of our favorite items is the chicken strips with a side of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. There is also a bowling alley there. The lanes are awesome, well maintained. The resturaunt and bowling alley is always clean and well staffed. The staff is very friendly and helpful! One of the true Gems of New Hope!

The food is First Rate. If you like Chicago style pizza, pick it up here. Best I've had in the Twin Cities. But the atmosphere is not the draw. The staff was great, but the setting is ... well, the spare room at a bowling alley.
